Day 28

Hsi Lai Temple                    Hacienda Heights,  CA

When I mentioned reading about this place to my friend Brad he had remembered seeing it while hiking in the mountains of Whitter, so we decided to check it out....  The Hsi Lai Temole is the largest Chinese Buddhist Temple in the United States (15 acres)  We weren't sure what to expect however it was really very interesting!  We spent about an hour walking around reading and checking everything out and then we were starving so we decided to check out the 7 dollar veggie buffet.  It was super good!!  Everything was veggie including the what I thought was Sweet and Sour chicken! It was actually tofu couldn't really tell the difference....is that weird??!!  Super good!  After lunch we walked around and took more pics, and we both bought bracelets for luck.. :)  It was a very relaxing and enjoyable day..  A really cool place to check out very interesting!!!!  Free to get in...............

Day 27

Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels                Los Angeles, CA

What a beautiful place to visit!!  No matter what your religion this is a place to check out!!  The building is so pretty inside and out!!  We were there during a service which has a few advantages including being able to hear the HUGE organ play and getting the parking validated!!  Down stairs there is a small chapel, a mausoleum and a crypt!!  Super interesting place to check out and it is free!!!

Day 26

Mission Inn                        Riverside, CA

I had heard about this place through several people on facebook, usually around Christmas time...Apparently it is amazing at Christmas!!  Anyways, it was so pretty here!!  The hotel is a historical landmark and very cool to walk around.  Not only can you stay here, but there are several resturants to eat at and many presidents have done so!  There is a tour you can take however you can also just cruise around and check it all out without the tour.  The building is beautiful and very much worth a visit!!!  It is free to check out and not too much to stay the night here!! Totally worth a visit!!

Day 25

Greystone Mansion               Beverly Hills, CA

In the middle of Beverly Hills is an awesome little get-a-way called the Greystone Mansion!  As soon as we pulled up into the parking lot I was like I know this place!!!!  The mansion and gardens have appeared in so many movies and tv shows it is very familiar even if you have never been there before!!  I remember it from a scene in Entourage.  It is so cool that you can just wander around the grounds and check everything out..  There was some low budget movie shooting when we where there about some guy carrying a lot of Starbucks, sure to be a blockbuster I am sure! ummmm excuse me Mr. Starbuckkkkkssss!!!! hahaha! You can not go into the actual house unless you arrange it with the city, we may go around Halloween time because there are some ghost stories that go along with the house....We did peek in the windows and it looks sooo pretty inside!!!  Such a cool place to check out!!!!

and it is free!!!!!!
