Can not believe I have not heard of this place before!!! Thank you Pam for the suggestion!! What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, I felt like I was on vacation hiking through the paved and non paved trails looking at all of the beautiful flowers and the lush greenery! There were so many types of flowers here and many I have never even seen before!! In addition to the trees and flowers there are many small ponds throughout, a waterfall, a bigger lake for bird watching, tons of benches to sit on, relax and just listen to the birds...... There is also a little train and a small tram ride that will take you around the park if you don't feel like walking... The Boddy house is also here to walk through, it has many pictures and articles of when he owned this property, and the history of how it became what it is today... It was very interesting...
It is 8 dollars to get in and it is well worth it!! If you are looking for a nice relaxing thing to do Descanso Gardens is a great place to visit!!
